Office Visits
During the initial evaluation you will spend approximately two and a half hours in the office. Please come prepared with a list of all prescribed and over the counter medications, dosage, and length of time on the medications. On occasion, more than one visit is necessary to complete the initial evaluation.
As part of the initial evaluation, blood, urine, and psychological tests may be conducted to determine any medical causes of your symptoms. These tests may be performed in this office or at the laboratory of your choice.
Other testing may be necessary as a part of this initial diagnostic process. Any pre-existing laboratory data or psychological testing should be brought in to avoid unnecessary testing.
Please feel free to ask questions: education and communication are an important goal of this office.
After office hours, phone calls related to medication and side effects are encouraged. Psychotherapy may be conducted over the phone in emergencies or selected situations. Medication treatment is most effective when patients and doctors work together.
Patients are strongly cautioned against adjusting medications without prior discussion with the Doctor.
