Workshop Held On: Jun. 02, 2010

Obesity is an epidemic, so much so that Michelle Obama has made combating childhood obesity her priority.

Weight gain, insulin resistance, and Type 2 diabetes are clearly linked to worsening mental health. This growing (no pun intended) problem of epidemic proportions, now affects all segments of the American population, however it is particularly relevant for those with depression, anxiety and many other mental health problems. Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless (increased urination, feeling thirsty often, gaining weight, increased hunger, slow healing of cuts and bruises).

Education is power. You, and those you care about, are encouraged to be a part of this important call.

Call in so you can understand the nature of insulin resistance, the precursor to Type 2 diabetes, how to diagnose it, and how to cure (yes, cure) it. Call in to re-energize your desire to get back on track. Or call in simply to learn more about how the mind, brain, body and culture are all intimately and seamlessly linked.

  • Learn how obesity, insulin and diabetes are related to mental health
  • Learn about non-medicinal ways to CURE type two diabetes, while reducing the risk of other chronic illnesses (such as osteoporosis)
  • Learn the best lab tests to see how far along the road to diabetes you are.
