Workshop Held On: Feb. 1, 2012
ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder without and with Hyperactivity) is so frequently diagnosed, that many of our children, at young ages, are on stimulant medications, without a clear knowledge of the long term benefits and side effects. While ADD/ADHD can wreak havoc on a childs self esteem (academically and socially) It behooves us to be certain that the diagnosis is correct, what diagnoses can appear to be ADD/ADHD, and what non-medicinal approaches can be helpful.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How can you know it's ADD/ADHD
- If it's not ADD, what can it be?
- What we know and do not know about long term use of stimulants
- Hormonal, nutritional, and familial causes
- Other Alternatives to medication
